Take Note

Recap of CHL September meeting

A big shout out to all of you who made it out September 20th for our 3rd CHL meeting! We had over 35 members in attendance at Annie Baileys for a pint, some good eats and to do a little social networking.

Srirupa Dasgupta, author of Effortless Networking, began the night speaking to us on how to become better, more effective networkers.

Max Phillips then filled us in on the overwhelming success of the 1st issue of our eZine Subject2Change and Douglas Campbell handed out and discussed some possible plans for the Landscape Project for Eastern Market.

I updated the group on the upcoming ART in the BAR event which will take place this Tuesday at the Alley Kat downtown and the Community Art Market that the CHL is collaborating with the LIA and Eastern Market on. Be sure to check out the links below for more information on these upcoming events.

After our speeches, updates and reminders we opened the floor for yet another fun filled night of networking, collaboration and socializing. I’m always impressed by the way we as humans interact with each other and I have to give you all credit for stepping outside the social box and actively partaking in something that’s a little different.

The night would not have been possible if it wasn’t for our friends at Annie Bailey’s and all those who made the night a great success. A special thanks to Annie Bailey’s for letting us use their 2nd floor and ever welcoming the Creative House; to our server Mikey for catering to our every need – you are a pro; to our speaker Sri for such a wonderfully informing presentation; to Todd Spitler for capturing and documenting our events with such flare; Christina Martin for taking notes; and last but not least thank you all for coming out and sharing your passions, talents and energy. It’s your hard work and involvement that will make Lancaster a better place.
