ARIES: Let’s start by saying this is a time when you will benefit from cleaning and organizing. I know that doesn't sound like much fun, but there's also a sense that this can be a very inspiring time, so watch your dreams (after all that organizing puts you to sleep) for ideas and answers. Some challenges: you might find that when you get set up on a project, you find you are running into all kinds of issues and problems, and perhaps you feel tested right now by your work. When it comes to your work, there's an emphasis on faces in particular, and working with metals is also highlighted. Good themes to work with right now might include people with some kind of physical limitation or challenge. Even if that sounds a little weird, keep an open mind – while you're awake and when interpreting those inspirational dreams – and you'll see what this might really mean.
TAURUS: Like Aries, here too we see dreams will be a good source of inspiration – you might want to keep a journal or some paper next to the bed so you can jot down the dreams' details as soon as you wake up – before they're lost to the reality of the day. As for getting work done, if you stay in the background, you will notice that you are interrupted less frequently – big surprise there, huh? It’s also a good time to work on projects where you can be alone, because you will accomplish more this way. You're persevering right now to prepare, perhaps spending time helping others who really need it. Don’t worry, though, because taking this time to help others will not only earn you big karma points, but it will result in your being stronger and more prepared for your own work.
GEMINI: Now is the time to get into the world – this is a great time to show or present your work and put yourself and your work "out there". Be careful, however, that you don’t end up with so much going on and so many irons in the fire that you make mistakes or have embarrassing moments. Another downside you might find is that all the activity could result in your feeling very disrupted or interrupted. This sort of environment can make you feel that you aren’t keeping track of all the details, and details are very important right now. The bottom line? Get out there, but stick to procedures, write things down, and take the time to keep track of what might seem like minutiae along the way.
CANCER: Deadlines and credibility are featured for you this month, as well as rules and regulations. You seem to be under a great deal of pressure lately, and nobody likes that, right? While some people thrive on stress, or think they do, this isn't good for you or your art. A possible escape hatch? Vehicles could be a good outlet or inspiration, whether you take a drive to release the pressure or create a collage or other piece that features vehicles. Any work involving vehicles might be a great way to use this energy, especially if you feature muscle cars. You're not brimming with energy right now, but you do seem to be brighter when you're at home, so take advantage of that time in the nest to get things done and recharge yourself and your creative juices.
LEO: Coming out from under the weight of many responsibilities, you may feel the need to focus on the discipline of daily routine – somehow that structure makes you feel safe. Things are slower because of dependencies and expenses that are not what you originally projected, and that can have you feeling a bit unsettled, too. All of this leaves you feeling a bit less inspired as well, but keep in mind that it is from this conflict – dependencies and discipline, struggling against a desire to make art – that you derive your creativity. Serving others could hold the key, or perhaps someone in the serving field could become your muse. Don't ignore the waiter or waitress the next time you're out for a meal!
VIRGO: You may not be feeling very inspired lately, and the daily routine of life could be oppressive. Your creativity, however, can be found in "pieces" (be open to the meaning of that and you'll find what it means to you), and it is in working with these pieces that you'll find that you can be very clever. It's a good time to be productive, but don't expect it to be all day, every day – most of your work seems to take place at night these days, as this can be the busiest time for you. And even though you're productive, there is still this sense of things taking forever and not being resolved. Hang in there, because while you may question what you are seeing, you're setting up the layers, the foundation for something great, and this takes time. This is a good time for anyone who works with yarn, weaving, cross-stitch, or other textiles.
LIBRA: Don’t worry if some new beginnings have to be restarted. Sometimes this will come as a surprise and it could even be upsetting, but if you use your intuition, you will design your way out. You are having a very creative month, Libra, and your eye for beauty and art is strong right now. Food, or art featuring food, is highlighted – perhaps inconvenient if you're dieting, but just go with it. It's a busy time for you, with lots of opportunity to spread your wings and expand yourself – but not by eating all that food from your still-life.
SCORPIO: This month, use your knowledge and the security you feel within yourself. Lights, mirrors, and windows are featured in your art and your inspirations, and Spanish or ethnic themes could also come to your attention. Other inspirations? Animals, particularly horses. Keep your eyes open, and you'll see them and see how to make use of them creatively. Other people, including partners, may question you – but you are headed to your “just reward”, so don’t let them dissuade you. Question expenses at this time – check your bills, read your receipts, and keep careful track of what you're spending.
SAGITTARIUS: For you, Indian themes will draw your focus during this New Moon. You’ll find there are many fortunate transformations, as body parts come into focus, sometimes through others who might blame things on their bodies. Not sure what that means? Like Aries, you need to keep an open mind and the meaning of this for you will present itself – or you may already know what it means, immediately. Either way, finish up any seasonal projects you are working on. Endings can feature escape, but those endings are likely to come very quickly, so be prepared. Benefits come to you through the good fortune of others this month – don't burn any bridges.
CAPRICORN: Decisions about goals and things that might be at a distance are a concern at this time. When it comes to your artwork and even your environment, this might be a good time to focus on colors or color themes that include red and orange – colors that are passionate and vibrant – as they will help you achieve your goals this month. One of your goals might be to incite or excite others by virtue of the fact that you yourself are very excited – use this to get others interested in a project or idea you've been trying to sell. Muscles, the heart in particular, can be inspirational for you, and the whole idea of love and sex can also play an important inspirational role this month. With all that loving and pumping muscles going on, who has time for art? You, that's who.
AQUARIUS: Water themes and music may come into play with your art this month. Blues, such as those you would find in water, can be very calming and soothing and in many ways they will bring inspiration. This is a time of many turning points for you in your life and in your work, too. These turning points will change how you view things, giving you fresh perspectives from which to view and handle what's just appeared as you're following all these turns in the road. Bonding with others can help you stay grounded, so cherish your friends and don't ignore chances to make new ones. What is a source of pride for you can also be your downfall this month, so keep your ego in check and think about why you're feeling protective or prideful – if the reason isn't healthy or productive, let it go.
PISCES: When it comes to design, you will not always agree with or believe the advice you're getting from others. There is a need to stick to your boundaries, particularly with love themes. It can be about wanting to remain more logical about your work or projects, or simply wanting to take a more conservative, comfortable route. People you encounter right now, whether they're clients or partners of some kind, might prefer more eccentric or erratic art and make what seem like unreasonable demands on you. Of course, this can be a good thing, if it's about getting new work, and commissioned work can be offered out of the blue. Be on the lookout for requests that will be unusual and unpredictable – you'll handle it, but you'll be better off if you're not taken by surprise. Computers will be very helpful to your work right now, from the benefits of staying on top of your email to using the computer to solve a creative problem.
