FEATURED MEMBER : Randy Simon >>Allen Clements and I had the pleasure of sitting down with CHL member Randy Simon this month to bring you the first featured member interview via video. As CHL grows and evolves, we will be working on new techniques to incorporate more multi media in our eZine. Randy was nice enough to let us video tape him as this month' s featured member. more>>

Social Networking & Ekaweeka.com >>If you're like me and you're a member of one or more online social networks, you most likely spend a lot of time infront of your computer. The average Facebooker spends over three hours a day on Facebook. Now that doesn't take into account those that stay logged in while they do other work, only occasionally checking to see if someone has thrown a sheep or some mashed potatoes at them (if you want to know what I'm talking about you'll have to check it out at Facebook). Regardless of the actual time spent on these sites, the users love them! more>>

Beat Winter Blues >> Winter is fast approaching and for this native Southerner the most telltale sign is the gray skies coming in overhead, not to mention the exponential temperature drop. This forces me indoors and gives me a bit of the doldrums. I found myself thinking of things I could do to maintain my creative summer momentum and think of this as the perfect share-space. more>>

The CHL decided to hit the 300 block of Queen Street this past 1st Friday to see what the Queen had to offer. First we visited Andrew Yeager's gallery and studio on the fourth floor of the Keppel building, and then we hit the street checking out the shops, galleries and restaurants.  Check out the slide show for some images, and long live the Queen. more>>

A New Home for Performing Artists >>Community, creativity, and sustainability. These are The Theater of the Seventh Sister’s ideals. Led by Gary Smith, 59, and his wife Mary, Theater of the Seventh Sister (TSS) is pioneering the “Artistic Village” concept as well as continuing a 19-year tradition of providing Lancaster city with high-quality performing arts experiences. more>>

Dog Star Books… for the Sirius Reader >> Seriously, Dog Star Books is a bookstore for people who love to read. And it was a love of reading--spawned in a childhood spent moving many times and being “the new kid” in school--that led Brian Frailey to what’s become his life’s work: scouting for, buying, and selling books. more>>
