| Let’s Party!by Lori BaerThe Creative House of Lancaster (CHL) celebrates the season and its members at the first annual CHL Party & Award Show Dec. 14 downtown at the Keystone Art & Culture Center, 420 Pearl St., from 8p.m.-12 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Andrew Yeager Fund in support of Andrew’s journey to overcome cancer. “This is going to be a one of a kind event here in Lancaster,” said Anne Kirby, CHL organizer. “I can't think of a better way to ring in the holidays than being surrounded by good people helping a fellow friend with his personal battle.” The CHL invites members and prospective members, family and friends to enjoy great company, holiday fare, libations, and live music while making a difference in CHL member Andrew Yeager’s life. Money raised will help pay for Andrew’s health care costs. Local musicians will entertain guests as they enjoy art exhibits and activities. The Creative House Award Competition winners will also be announced, so don’t miss the opportunity to hear the breaking news! The night is guaranteed to embody CHL’s core value of supporting each other personally, professionally, and artistically. The Keystone Art & Culture Center proves a perfect match for a CHL holiday extravaganza. The center’s mission is “…to develop a world renowned art and exhibition hall while expanding awareness of art as a viable component of this community and economy through responsible business development which includes: creating jobs, developing state-of-the-art facilities, building financial support, complementing the regional educational sector and, supporting pride in community through positive activities including nationally recognized public art projects.” CHL and the center share a common goal of elevating the arts in Lancaster. See for yourself at www.artfoundlancaster.org. CHL extends a BIG thanks to the Keystone Art & Culture Center and to members Jennifer McMorris, E.C. Masters, Allen Clements, and George Hunter for rolling up their sleeves to ensure a fun and festive night for all. Tickets cost $30 for a single ticket or $50 per pair. A free advertisement in the events booklet goes to anyone purchasing four or more tickets. To get your tickets, contact Jennifer@thechl.org. Hurry…only 150 tickets available! . |
