ART IN ALTERNATIVE SPACES - SHOW GOING ON NOW

Objective: to display art in local “alternative” venues in order to promote CHL members, the venue/facility, and to bring other forms of art to the community. Also to offer an outlet for commercial artists and emerging artists who are in need of a place to show their artwork.  

Guidelines: This is a themed Event There are, of course, no limitations to how creative the piece should be. Duration of the show will be the entire month of November and will be up in time for the Nov 1st Friday.

1. Each piece should be under 10in x 10in and must be able to be wire hung. One piece per person.  

2. Labeled on back with artist name, contact info, pricing (if you want to sell your work)

3. Each piece will be numbered with a corresponding price/contact sheet to be given to the venue for price/purchasing inquires.

4. Each artist is responsible for bringing their artwork to the venue and to assist with placement. 5. All artists will remove artwork by the determined date and time - no sooner or later.

This show will be promoted with flyers (designed by CHL members), local media outlets, newspapers, the CHL website, newsletter, blog, and on the facebook / myspace page. Images of the show and venue will be listed on the CHL website and newsletter. The show's opening night will be an artist reception night for all artists present and it will be open to the public.

All members and others attending should come hungry, thirsty, and ready to enjoy good food, drink, and company while critiquing each others work with a vote and prize for the best piece. This is a BYOB establishment.
